The Power of Leverage: How Working Less Can Yield More

It took me just seven seconds to create a full three-minute video. That’s the power of leverage. Without the tools I used, making a video like that would have easily taken me thirty minutes or more.

You might wonder how a three-minute video could take half an hour to produce. The answer lies in all the hidden work that goes into even short videos: scripting, sourcing B-roll footage, setting up lighting, and the editing process. Each step can add significant time, especially if your computer is slow or you have to do multiple takes.

For example, scripting alone usually takes considerable time. But I didn’t write a script myself—I used AI to generate the entire script in a flash. The AI simply gathered all the things I typically say and crafted a coherent video script automatically. This saved me from any manual scripting or planning.

Then there’s filming. I never picked up a camera, set up a tripod, or worried about lighting or sound. The video features an AI-generated avatar modeled after me. So while you see me on screen, it’s not me physically recorded. This eliminated the usual hassle of recording.

And editing? Typically, editing takes a huge chunk of time. For every ten minutes of raw footage, I might spend thirty to forty minutes editing. That multiplier means that even a short three-minute piece could cost one to two hours of work once you add b-roll and audio enhancements.

All that traditionally would add up to a lot of time, but with AI assistance, all those tasks are combined into a seamless, rapid process. I simply let the AI handle scripting, avatar creation, and editing. The result is a polished video made in the fraction of the usual time.

The core idea I want to share is this: leverage changes the game. It allows you to work less while producing more and better results. In content creation and many other fields, using smart tools and optimized workflows can save you hours, so you can focus your energy where it truly matters.
